F.Sudol Great to hear the early work of The Fourth Man with David Collings and Gabe Abney. Even with its cassette tape origin, cool tracks like Guilt, CIRS2, and Instinct can be appreciated.

about

The eponymous CD by the Canadian industrial electronic band The Fourth Man was originally released by the independent label Factoria records in 1994 . Much of this material has been unavailable for nearly two decades.
This collection of demos and self-produced cassette releases were recorded between 1992 and 1994 in Vancouver, Canada. Produced on a non-existent budget, the tracks were put together in bedrooms, basements, and closets, using minimal equipment. The lack of technical recording experience and limited funding yielded lo-fi results, but the enthusiasm and perhaps even charm come through the murk and noise.
In recent years, core members Gabriel Abney and David Collings have begun work on new material, as well as the resurrection and re-release of old material.
David Collings has written a lengthy and in-depth history of the production of these tracks, which can be found on The Fourth Man's website - www.thefourthman.com/t4m-1994/
